It was the first cool weekend day that demanded fresh bread and homemade soup. We went to the market in the morning, picking up what felt like tons of food. This morning was our very first ever CSA pickup.  CSA = Community Supported Agriculture.  Community members buy a “share” of the farm’s harvest for the season, paid up front (sometimes with a negotiatted payment plan).  The farmer has job security and financial security, and every one shares in the bounty or hardship of the season.
